As Alexander Ericson has told us, a promotional single/video will go out to press an television in November. The album is planned to be released early January/February next year. The single is "a world you'll never reach".
Also Alexander is rehearsing with a pianist for live gigs at the moment. They hope to be able play several gigs in November/December. More sepcific information and dates will follow.

As we've heard, the negotiations for the release of Alexanders soloalbum are in full progress and it may well be that it will be published in autumn this year. To shorten the waiting time we present you a preview track of the 'Songs for quiet people' album in mp3-format: Here is 'Highway winterstar', a song which was recorded in the year 2000. It catches the spirit of the 'old Northern Territories' and documents the development within Alexanders solo compositions at the same time.

April 2003

After publishing their album 'Satellite people' in 1999, the bankrupt of their record label and their parting from the management there have been no official releases from 'The Northern Territories'. For a while now Alexander Ericson is living in Berlin, whereas Stefan Sääf is still at home in Uppsala/Sweden. The physical distance between the two musicians is one of the reasons Alexander worked on a great number of songs solo over the last years.

In the early year 2000 his debut album 'Songs for quiet souls' was produced under the project name 'Satellite people'. You can find an utmost positive review for these songs on: www.grenzwellen.com - This review is in German language though.

Alexanders fantastic and much praised album unfortunately remained unreleased up to now, as well as a video, that was produced at the time of recording the songs.

Remains to say, that 'The Northern Territories' will exist further on and there may be another album in future. Alexander and Stefan are still very good friends and will - given time and the situation - work together again.

Right now Alexander is working on songs for the second 'Satellite people' album. The mentioned first one - 'Songs for quiet souls' may be officially released later this year. There are many positive signs for that and we will keep you informed about changes and news. Above that, a website for Alexanders solo activities is the stadium of conception and will be online in a few months.
